This handmade patchwork throw, designed, made and given by Betty Mills (designer, wild flower artist, needlewoman and diarist), is on display at St David’s Hospice where it is being raffled to raise much needed funds. Tickets are available at the Café Dewi (Hospice Café) at £2 a strip, and at the Hospice Summer Fair on Saturday 31st July.
The Draw will take place at the Hospice on the 6th August.
Julian and Betty worked together to prepare and set up the Exhibition of Artwork by Betty at Y Tabernacl, Upper Mostyn Street , Llandudno. The exhibition, which ran throughout the month of May was a huge success, with almost one thousand visitors. All proceeds from this exhibition were divided between St David’s Hospice and Pensychnant, and the raffling of the hanging (which was in the exhibition) is the last bit of the project.
Betty, a lifelong artist and organiser, believes deeply in the benefits of creativity, and is delighted to have been able to and to continue to use hers to help two causes so close to her heart.
A huge thank you to Betty and all her helpers from all at St David’s and Pensychnant.
