Mandy Roberts and Diane Roberts celebrated their birthday at the Mulberry, Conwy Marina and raised £1800 for two chosen charities, St David’s Hospice and Hope House. They would like to thank the Mulberry for the help in arranging the party, Dare for the fantastic music, everyone who donated raffle prizes and all who joined them making it a super evening.

Digital Photography Competition
Following the success of last year’s competition, which raised over £3,000.00 for St David’s and St Kentigern Hospices, the fundraisers are once more calling for digital photographers to participate in the production of a joint calendar.  The theme for this year’s competition is ‘People and Places in North Wales’.  The overall winner will receive a £100 voucher from Cambrian Photography, Colwyn Bay and their photograph will appear on the front cover of the 2009 Hospice Calendar.

St David’s Hospice are organising a sponsored walk with a difference. On Sunday 20th April supporters will take part ‘Walking the Planks’. The 5 mile walk takes place along the Llandudno Pier. In order to complete the challenge walkers should do 10 laps (A lap equals from the happy valley pier gate to the penny arcade and back). Registration is between 11.30am – 12.30pm All ages are welcome. Children £5, Adults £10 or sponsorship.  For further details contact 01492 879058 (9am-5pm Mon – Fri).

There is a 60’s, 70’s and Motown evening taking place on Saturday 5th April at the Deganwy Castle Hotel. 8pm – 12pm. Tickets £5 available from St David’s Hospice 01492 879058 (Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm).

There will be a Table Top Sale at the Pavilion (opposite the Station) in Dolwyddelan on Friday 7th March. This will take place from 11am until 4pm and will become a regular Friday occurrence. All proceeds from the sale will be shared between the Hospice and a fund to help keep The Pavilion open.

Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club is hold a Charity Greensome Medal Competition in aid of St David’s Hospice on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May 2008 (Courtesy of Robin Jones)
The entry fee is £20 per pair for visitors and £15 for Rhos-on-sea Club members. Prizes will be given for the best gentlemen, ladies and mixed pairings.
Anyone unable to take part but who would like to contribute to this deserving cause in the form of sponsorship, donations, or prizes (golf or raffle) should contact Joan Leach on 01492 540516 from whom entry forms are also available. Closing date is the 29th April.

Donations of items of jewellery and empty jewellery boxes are sought after for the very popular jewellery stall held at the annual summer and Christmas Hospice Fetes.
Any items can be handed in at the reception desk at the Hospice in Abbey Road, Llandudno.

The eighth annual Asics British 10K London Run will take place on the 6th July through the heart of historic central London in summer 2008. The route takes you past St James's Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Paul's Cathedral, the Millennium Bridge, the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, finishing on Whitehall. There is a lot of competition for places at the race so join now to avoid disappointment. To secure a place you simply have to pay a £45 registration fee and pledge to raise £120 in sponsorship.
