A St David’s day event at Bodnant Garden Nursery raised over £250. Customers enjoyed refreshments and traditional welsh cakes whilst enjoying the sounds of a welsh choir and handbell ringing. A wishing well located in the nursery also raised £464.20 over a six month period.
St. David’s Hospice, in partnership with St. Kentigern Hospice, are running a Digital Photographic Competition, with a view to producing a joint calendar for 2009. The theme for the Calendar is ‘People and Places in North Wales.’
Entries should be digital format, in full colour, in landscape, and received by Friday, 28th March 2008. The winning photographs will be included in the calendar, and the overall winner (cover picture) will receive a £100 voucher from Cambrian Photography, Colwyn Bay. Rhos-on-Sea Golf Club is hold a Charity Greensome Medal Competition in aid of St David’s Hospice on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May 2008 (Courtesy of Robin Jones)
The entry fee is £20 per pair for visitors and £15 for Rhos-on-sea Club members. Prizes will be given for the best gentlemen, ladies and mixed pairings.
Anyone unable to take part but who would like to contribute to this deserving cause in the form of sponsorship, donations, or prizes (golf or raffle) should contact Joan Leach on 01492 540516 from whom entry forms are also available. Closing date is the 29th April.

St David’s Hospice are organising a sponsored walk with a difference. On Sunday 20th April supporters will take part ‘Walking the Planks’. The 5 mile walk takes along the Llandudno Pier. In order to complete the challenge walkers should do 10 laps (A lap equals from the happy valley pier gate to the penny arcade and back).
