PHOTO: Fundraisers Beth and Marie are keeping their eye out for the hospice supporters ‘walking the planks’!
On Sunday 20th April, hospice supporters will be walking the planks of Llandudno Pier to help raise much needed funds. This sponsored walk with a difference starts at 11.30am and walkers will aim to complete 5 miles (10 circuits) of the historic landmark. The Motown Night at Deganwy Castle raised £568. Thank you to Dave Hansen for all his hard work.
The residents of Penrhyn Court in Penrhyn Bay have raise £58.50 from a coffee morning. The BUPA Goldborough Estates have also match funded the current amount raised which stands at £505.
The eighth annual Asics British 10K London Run will take place on the 6th July through the heart of historic central London in summer 2008. There is a lot of competition for places at the race so join now to avoid disappointment St David’s Hospice have 6. Tickets for an Evening of European Food and Song are available from Janet Jones at St. Kentigern Hospice (01745 585221). This event is being held in aid of St. David’s and St. Kentigern Hospices, at Llandrillo College, Rhos on Sea on Wednesday, 30th April, and features Amica del Canto (conductor Nigel Shaw).Tickets are £12.50.
St David’s Hospice organise skydiving days throughout the year at the Whitchurch Airfield, Shropshire. Skydiving is one of the most exciting sports of modern times. Enjoyment, freedom, exhilaration and limitless challenge are all part of the experience of a lifetime: your chance to make the skies your own! Raise £300 and jump for free! The St David’s Hospice Summer Ball will take place on Friday, 27th June in the grounds of Fugro Robertson, Llanrhos. Anyone interested in receiving an invitation to buy tickets should contact Beth or Marie on 01492 879058.
We are still collecting old mobile phone plus foreign and old currency, as this continues to bring in a steady income. These can be dropped of at the various Hospice Shops or brought in to the Hospice in Abbey Road.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: In order to maintain funding and to provide information on our
services, we are opening a Café at the Hospice. We are, therefore, seeking additional volunteers to help us make a success of this development. For further information please call Janet Magill 879058.
