The BTEC First Diploma Media students from Llandrillo College raised £101.00 for the hospice by running a charity event on June 4th. A big thank you to Ryan Oakes, Gareth Joy, Helen Williams, Jenni Price, Tom Heslop, Tom Evans, Ben Penney & Mark Jackson.
The Annual Hospice Summer Fete will take place on the Saturday, 26th July. It will be opened by William Roache at 1pm. Any contributions – bric a brac, raffle prizes, cakes, plants etc. will be gratefully received.
The Three Hospices’ Concert (St. David’s, St. Kentigern & Ty Gobaith) with The Biddulph Male Voice Choir will take place at St. Paul’s Church, Colwyn Bay on Sunday, 27th July at 7pm. Tickets are available from St. David’s Hospice, Abbey Road. Call 01492 879058 and ask for Beth or Marie.
A call to the women of North West Wales - Please join us for the Dawn Walk on Saturday 16th August. This is the first time we have organised an event of this kind, so we have no idea what to expect. Our sponsored walks are always really popular but we’ve never started out at 3.45am before. However, it’s a lovely walk. Long, but easy, and at this hour the Conwy estuary and the shore look particularly beautiful. The quality of the light is so special, and what with this, the sound of the waves and the sea birds, it will be worth every hour of lost sleep.
There is a registration fee of £10.00, and participants will be expected to raise further sponsorship (no minimum). All participants must pre register before the 1st August . Although this event is for women only we would be grateful for any volunteers to help with marshalling or registration ( men or women).
