The concert given by the Colwyn Choral Society at St. John’s Methodist Church on the 7th June was a huge success, raising £1,100.00 for hospice funds. A big thank to all concerned.
Preparations for the Annual Summer Fete which takes place in the Hospice grounds on Abbey Road on the Saturday, 26th July are now in full flow. Saleable goods and offers of help have begun to flow in, but we are still anxious to hear from anyone prepared to pledge cakes, jams etc. for the ever popular home produce stall, bottles for the bottle tombola, not to mention plants, bric a brac, books etc. This is always a great day, made even better by the presence of our Hon. President William Roache, who will open the fete at 1pm. There will be lots to keep the children happy too, with a bouncy castle, and games with great prizes. Beulah Brass will play, the sun will shine, and if it doesn’t, who cares, we’ll just bring the whole party indoors! We would also love to hear from any dance troupes, majorettes, or morris dancers.

We’ve had a good response to all the publicity for our Dawn Walk on Saturday 16th August, with enquires and entries coming from women all over North West Wales, but we need to keep up the momentum and make this the best event ever! So please - we need all entries in by 1st August. And remember, although it’s 9 miles long, the walking is easy, and there is no pressure to walk at anything but the pace you are comfortable with. And as for the time, what can we say - it’s a beautiful thing to do!
There is a registration fee of £10.00, and participants will be expected to raise further sponsorship (no minimum).

The Three Hospices’ Concert (St. David’s, St. Kentigern & Ty Gobaith) with The Biddulph Male Voice Choir will take place at St. Paul’s Church, Colwyn Bay on Sunday, 27th July at 7pm. Tickets are available from St. David’s Hospice, Abbey Road. Call 01492 879058 and ask for Beth or Marie.
We have 12 places available for anybody wishing to take part in the St. David’s Hospice Parachuting Day on Saturday, 6th September, at the airfield in Whitchurch.
