HURRY! THE CLOSING DATE FOR THE HOSPICE LOTTERY SUMMER SUPERDRAW IS FRIDAY 25 JULY 2008! The closing date for the Hospice Lottery Summer Draw is fast approaching, so if your tickets are still behind the clock on the mantelpiece, now is the time to post them in or drop them off at the Hospice. Each ticket costs just £2, and you have the chance of winning one of three cash prizes- £500, £1500 and the top prize of £3000- and by playing, you are supporting YOUR local Hospice! The draw will take place live on air on Friday 1st August on Tudno FM 107.8, the local radio station for Llandudno.
If you have mislaid your tickets, or would like a few extra, it’s not too late- telephone 08009706242 or email@stdavidslottery.go-plus.net and the Hospice Lottery team will send out replacement tickets by return of post. Alternatively they can take your credit/debit card details and enter your tickets in the draw on the spot.
Fingers are crossed for glorious weather as the St David’s Hospice Summer Fete is just round the corner. Taking place on Saturday 26th July from 1pm until 4pm. Stalls include old favourites such as the bric-a-brac, books, cakes, plants and home made crafts and there is plenty to do for the children with a bouncy castle and lots of games. You can also enjoy a tasty burger at the BBQ whilst listing to the Beulah Brass Band. The fundraisers would like to thank everyone who given donations of goods so far and but are still looking for items including plants, bottles of wine, cakes, pet stall items and raffle prizes to use on the day. Donations should be brought to the hospice in Abbey Rd, Llandudno.
With only 14 days to go to the registration deadline for the Dawn Walk (Saturday 16th August) all the ladies thinking about taking part are urged to send in their forms soon to book their place on the 9 miles sponsored walk. The walk starts at Aberconwy School and follows the scenic route along the estuary and coast until you reach the Hospice in Abbey Rd Llandudno. As the walk starts at 3.45am the views will be spectacular as the sun slowly rises. For a registration form contact the Fundraising Dept on 01492 879058.
