The costumes were fantastic and the weather tried to behave. We estimate that this event will raise around £1,500. Watch this column for updates.
For one night only! The Royal Oakley Silver Band and Beulah Brass will perform on Thursday, 30th April 2009 at the Gloddaeth United Church, Chapel Street, Llandudno, to remember the much loved and talented Terry Parry.
Tickets £5: Available from the door on the night (doors open at 7pm/concert commences at 7.30pm). Refreshments will be available, and in keeping with Terry’s love of chocolate, chocolate cake is definitely on the menu!
The Charity Greensome Stableford Golf Day at Rhos on Sea Golf Club takes on Monday, 4th May (Bank Holiday). This popular annual event has raised a considerable sum for the Hospice over the years.

Join D.Js Mike Roberts and Mike Stokoe on Friday, 8th May at the Maelgwyn Pub, Llandudno Junction for a heady mix of Northern Soul and Tamala Motown from 8.30pm until 1.30am. On Sunday, 17th May there will be an opportunity to visit a beautiful garden at Ty-Hir, Llanfair PG (nr. the Marquis of Anglesey Column) when Mr. & Mrs. Harris open their gates to raise money for St. David’s and the Fuchsia and Geranium Society. Plant sales and refreshments. Time: 10am – 5pm. Admission: £2
Not many tickets left now for the Annual Hospice Summer Ball which takes place in a marquee in the grounds of Fugro Robertson, Llanrhos on Friday 26th June. A swift response could secure you a place at the table.

Kilimanjaro Trek (30th October – 8th November 2009) – This breathtaking trek will take you up the tranquil Machame route, through deep forest, grasslands, and finally across glaciers before reaching the Uhuru Peak from where you will watch the sun rise over the African plains.
