Last Thursday, Beulah Brass and the Royal Oakeley Silver Band came together to raise funds for St David’s Hospice in memory Terry Parry. The evening was a fantastic success raising £768.10. Many thanks to all involved.
The popular Northern Soul Night in aid of St David’s & St Kentigern’s Hospice is at a new venue this month. On the Friday 8th May, from 8.30pm the Maelgwyn Pub, Llandudno Junction will be filled with music from Tamla Motown and Northern Soul. Tickets £5, available from St David’s Hospice 01492 879058.
On Sunday, 17th May there will be an opportunity to visit a beautiful garden at Ty-Hir, Llanfair PG (nr. the Marquis of Anglesey Column) when Mr. & Mrs. Harris open their gates to raise money for St. David’s and the Fuchsia and Geranium Society. Plant sales and refreshments. Time: 10am – 5pm. Admission: £2
The North Region Welsh Culinary Association and The Signatures Restaurant, Conwy have teamed up to hold a Charity Gourmet Dinner and cabaret in aid of St David’s Hospice. On Tuesday 19th May from 7.30pm you can enjoy a five course gourmet dinner whilst listening to the sounds of jazz singer, Jessica Tansey. Tickets are £35 per person. Sunday 7th June is the date for this year’s St. David’s Hospice Twin Falls Walk. This moderately challenging walk of approx. 6 miles takes in the spectacular Aber Falls (both the big and the little) and the wonderful views from the North Wales Path. The walk starts from the Community Room above Yr Hen Felin Caffi in the centre of Abergwyngregyn, where all walkers will be expected to check between 10am and 11am. There is a registration fee of £10 for adults & £5 for children for all those who don’t wish to collect sponsorship. However there is no minimum sponsorship requirement. Colwyn Choral Society Summer concert in aid of St David’s Hospice is taking place on Saturday 6th June, 8pm at St John’s Methodist Church, Llandudno Tickets £7 Children & students £3.
