St David's Hospice | Hosbis Dewi Sant

Many thanks to all at the West Shore Social Club who raised £347.30 for Hospice funds with an Easter Bonnet Parade.

 

Join us for the St. David’s Hospice Twin Falls Walk on Sunday 7th June. This 6 mile walk starts from the Community Room above Yr Hen Felin Caffi, in the centre of Abergwyngregyn and is suitable for any reasonably fit person wearing stout footwear. Waterfalls, sweeping views, interesting  flora – this walk has the lot. And to top it all the Yr Hen Felin café  has wonderful home made cakes and great coffee!
Registration takes place between 10am and 11am. A fee of £10/adults £5/children for those not collecting sponsorship. For those collecting sponsorship there is no minimum amount.

We are expecting a good crowd for the Colwyn Choral Society Summer Concert on Saturday 6th June, 8pm at St John’s Methodist Church, Llandudno. St. David’s Hospice is proud to be associated with this very popular choir and well established choir ( 50th Anniversary Year) and we urge all music lovers to go along and enjoy a great programme - Mendelssohn – Hear My Prayer; Parry – I Was Glad; Vaughan Williams – O Clap Your Hands; Joseph Horovitz – Captain Noah and his Floating Zoo. Not only a celebration of beautiful music, but a benefit night for St. David’s Hospice too. 
Tickets: £7/adults; £3/ children & students. Tickets will be available at the door, but if you want to be sure to get a seat please contact 548805.

The Tempest at Gwydir Castle of Wednesday, 8th July at 7pm. Tickets: £10 in advance (£12 on the gate)  available from Anvil Box Office 01492 580774 or online at www.anvil productions.co.uk.

Motown Night at the Deganwy Castle Hotel on Saturday, 18th July. Tickets £5 available from St. David’s Hospice on 01492 897058 or Dave Hanson 07811323698.

Registration forms for the Dawn Walk 2009 are now available for anyone (women only) wishing to take part. Registration forms must be in by 1st August, but the earlier the better!

Volunteers are needed to keep Café Dewi open over the weekends. For further details contact Janet Magill on 01492 879058.
