Fundraising - 2nd July 200902/07/2009

Photo: At seventy-seven years old Brian Lux does not plan to hang up his running shoes, and will be running the British 10k in London on Sunday 12th July. ‘Living nearby, I have been impressed by the devotion of the carers, nursing staff, and especially the army of volunteers who give their time and work so hard. St. David’s relies heavily on fundraising, which is why I’m pleased to push these seventy-seven year old legs around London’s streets.’ To sponsor him click on www.justgiving.com/brianlux1
All women interested in taking part in the Dawn Walk 2009 should be filling in their registration forms now! Although the walk takes place on Sunday, 23rd of August, we need your registration forms by 1st August! This early morning walk raised £16,000 for Hospice funds in 2008, and we are hoping to equal or better this in 2009. Many of the 250 women who took part last year walked in memory of loved one, and many just to show their support for the vital work the Hospice does. Please join us and make this a huge and visible demonstration of support for the Hospice movement in general and St. David’s in particular. To receive your registration form please Contact Beth or Marie on 01492 879058.

In this our 10th Anniversary year we are putting out a general plea asking people to consider holding a coffee morning to help raise much needed funds. We have set a target of £10,000 for the Great St. David’s Hospice Coffee Morning Challenge. A lot of money! But we believe this is possible, and it would be such a great boost to our commitment to continue providing free palliative care to the people of Conwy, Gwynedd & Anglesey. To register your interest contact Beth or Marie on 01492 879058 (office hours).
