Enigma Hair Salon (Llewelyn Ave. Llandudno) is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with an Open Evening on Monday 13th July. From 6pm onwards there will be sparkling wine, canapés, raffle prizes and hair demonstrations. All welcome. Proceeds from the raffle and any donations will be divided between St. David’s Hospice and Ty Gobaith. Staff from the salon have already been busy raising money for their chosen charities by taking part in the Twin Falls Challenge in Abergwyngregyn at the beginning of June, and they will be up with the lark on Sunday, 23rd August to take part in the Dawn Walk.
All women interested in taking part in the Dawn Walk 2009 should be filling in their registration forms now! We need your registration forms by 1st August! Please join us and make this a huge and visible demonstration of support for the Hospice movement.

The Annual Hospice Summer Fete takes place on Saturday, 25th July in the grounds of the Hospice on Abbey Road, Llandudno. This event will be opened by William Roache, the Hospice’s Honorary President, and the Llandudno Town Band will provide the music for this lively occasion, when people flock to the Hospice to buy cakes, books, handmade gifts and all the usual things that that make up a good summer fete. We would welcome any donations of quality bric a brac, pledges to donate cakes and jams, raffle prizes, plants, and bottles for the ever popular Bottle Tombola. All of these can be handed in to the Hospice on Abbey Road between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
The fete will take place between 1pm and 4pm and there will be an admission charge of £1 for adults and 50p for children.
Tickets are available for the Motown Night at the Deganwy Castle Hotel on Saturday, 18th July, when DJ Dave Hanson will be playing all the popular tunes from the sixties and seventies, and everyone will be out on the dance floor! Angie Tomkins will be running a stall the Llandudno Junction Fun Day on Saturday, 11th July in order to raise sponsorship for her bid to take part in a challenge to walk the Great Wall of China in aid of St. David’s. She will also be holding a Sponsored Pet Walk on Sunday 19th July from Victoria Pier, Colwyn Bay. In addition she has planned A Mind-reading with Magic Event at The Estuary, Glan Conwy, form 7.30 – 10pm on Wednesday 22nd July. Tickets for this are £5.
