Alan Moore and Ronnie Wilkinson, winners of the Charity Pairs Competition (sponsored by Stephen Jones of 75Point3 Financial Advisors) at the Rhos Park Bowling Club donated their prize money of £200 to St. David’s Hospice.
The Pendyffryn Hall (Dwygyflylchi) Fun Day takes place this Saturday, 8th August. Starting at 1pm there is something for everyone – a cake stall, a raffle with fantastic prizes donated by local businesses, a tombola, lots of things to keep the children happy, and live entertainment too! Pendyffryn Hall are great supporters of St. David’s and over the past three years have raised £6,675.00 for Hospice funds. Please support them and make this a record breaking Fun Day.

Rod Stewart fans are in for a treat on Thursday 20th August when the very talented Ian Frankel will perform his tribute act at the Colwyn Bay Rugby Club. Ian, who played to an audience of 50,000 at the Rugby World Cup Challenge 2006, is coming to North Wales especially to support Angie Tompkins in her bid to raise sponsorship for her forthcoming Great Wall of China Trek. The Annual Duck Race takes place at the Conwy River Festival on Saturday 15th August on Conwy Quay. At £1 a duck you could win £100. Bets can be placed in advance at the Hospice in Abbey Road, Llandudno. Contact Beth or Marie on 01492 879058, or see you on the quay!
The deadline for registering for the Dawn Walk has been extended to Monday 10th August. This women only, sponsored 9 mile walk from Conwy to Llandudno (return) starts at first light – registration 4.15am on Sunday, 23rd August.
