Myra and Gordon Jones celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with a surprise party organised by their family. Family and friends were asked not to bring gifts but to make donations to the hospice instead. In this way a fantastic £580 was raised. This donation was made in memory of Myra’s sister, Anita Montgomery, who was cared for at St. David’s. Many thanks to the Llanrwst British Legion and all concerned.
The Hospice Lottery £5000 Superdraw was drawn on Friday 28 August by J. O. Jones, Deputy Chair of the Hospice Trustees.

The Annual Great Orme Sponsored Walk takes place on Sunday 27th September. This year the theme is ‘Cops & Robbers’. The fancy dress aspect of this lovely walk is optional, but it is a great way to have a bit of fun! The start and finish point is the Hospice itself, so lots of parking, and a great opportunity to see what you are raising money for. This 6 mile walk is suitable for pushchairs, and the views are fantastic. Tea, coffee, homemade scones and barabrith will be available after the walk. A great way to end a great walk!

Coffee Morning at St. Mary’s Church, Rosehill Street, Conwy, on Saturday, 5th September from 10am until 12 noon. Admission: 50p to include tea/coffee
Louise Davies will be raising money for St David’s Hospice by selling plants and home produce at the Bryn Pydew Fun Day on Sat 5th September from 2pm. The event will also include a BBQ and dog show.
Gill Wilkinson celebrates her 40th birthday on Sat 12th September with a BBQ and Disco at Paninis in Glan Conwy. The money raised from this event will be divided between St. David’s Hospice and Happy Faces. All welcome.

The Bay Health and Beauty Clinic are holding an Open Event on Thursday 24th Sept 1pm – 7pm. Tickets: £10. A goodie bag for everyone;,a raffle and refreshments. Half of the proceeds to be donated to St David’s. For further info: 01492 535941.
The Colwyn Pier Revival Night took place on Saturday, 29th August at Penrhyn Old Hall, raising £350 for St. David’s. The organiser, Gareth Jones, and all at St.David’s would like to thank Chico and all the other DJs. Also Guy Marsh (proprietor) for his help and support.
Over three hundred women took part in this year’s Dawn Walk on Sunday, 23rd August. Many thanks to all these wonderful early birds! The sponsorship money is coming in steadily and we hop to beat or at lest equal last year’s £16,000.
