Eunice Cawley presented Gladys Harrison with a cheque for £1,000 bringing the total raised for St. David’s by the community of Dolwyddelan in the last 2 years to £1,600. A huge thank you to all concerned.
A total of £3,795 was raised at table top sales at the Community Pavilion every Friday, to raise money for St. David’s Hospice and Menter Siabod. The last table top sale was held on Friday the 2nd October, and as from the November 6th these will be replaced by Bring & Buy Sales which will happen on a fortnightly basis. Time: 10am – 12.30pm. All welcome for coffee and a chat.

The St. David’s Hospice Tree of Lights will once light up the Cayley Promenade, Rhos of Sea. This tree, organised and sponsored by the Rhos-on-Sea Rotary Club has raised £75,600 over the years, making a considerable contribution to the standard of palliative care in North West Wales. The Lighting Up Ceremony will take place on Sunday 29th November at 4,30pm. All welcome.
There are just a handful of spaces left on the second coach for the Trafford Centre Shopping Trip. This popular day trip is ideal for Christmas shopping. Over two hundred and thirty shops under one roof and lots of places to stop for coffee! Tickets £13 with pick up points in Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay and Rhos on Sea. The Coffee Morning held by the Friday Group at St. Paul’s Church, Colwyn Bay on Friday, 23rd October raised a fantastic £572.55. A great boost to the Great St. David’s Hospice Coffee Morning Challenge! With six months still to run we are hopeful of reaching our target of £10,000. A £1,000 for each year the Hospice has been open!

Coffee Morning Dates:
Saturday 31st October: Drink & a Chat from 2pm onwards at Canolfan Addysg, Bro Cernyw, Llangernyw. Entrance £2 includes tea/coffee & scone/cake.
Saturday, 31st October is party night at Calwalders Ice Cream, Betws y Coed, and as it is a Halloween Party you can expect apple bobbing, zombie dancing and spooky stories galore!

The St. David’s Hospice Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 5th December from 10am until 2pm. The main stalls will be situated in the Loreto Convent Hall (next door) but Santa’s Grotto and refreshments will be in the Hospice Reception area as usual.
