Many thanks to the pupils and staff at Tudno School who not only donated the produce from their Harvest Festival to St. David’s, but also raised £200 by holding a Go Yellow Day.
Dedications for the Tree of Lights are coming in thick and fast. The ‘switching on’ ceremony will take place at 4.30pm on Cayley Promenade, Rhos on Sea, on Sunday, 29th November. The short service, which includes the singing of some well-loved carols, always draws a good crowd. Everyone is welcome.
There are a handful of tickets left for G Party Night at the Conwy British Legion Club on Saturday, 14th November. Fun and games, good music, and a fantastic prize draw are in store for partygoers at this fancy dress party with a difference - you can come dressed as anything or anybody as long as it begins with the letter G. Tickets are £5 and will be available on the door. 8pm start.
The Betws y Coed Support Group Christmas Fair will take place at the Glan Aber Hotel on Saturday, 28th November from noon until 4pm. Tickets are only £1.50 and this includes coffee and a mince pie! An enjoyable afternoon out, and a great way to get into the festive mood.
We are in the process of gathering and sorting goods for the Annual Hospice Christmas Fair which will take place on Saturday 5th December, and would be very grateful for donations of jewellery, toys, raffle prizes, bottles (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), new goods, home made items, quality Bric-a-Brac, and of course pledges to make cakes for the every popular cake stall. All contributions can be handed in at the reception desk at the Hospice itself (Abbey Road, Llandudno). For further info please call 873664.
The St. David’s Hospice Shop located in Craig y Don is holding a ‘Party Wear Evening’ from 5pm until 7pm on Monday, 16th November. So get yourself down there and pick up something for that Christmas Party for a mere snip!
Plaid Cymru Candidate, Phil Edwards, is arranging a Charity Christmas Carol Service at Horeb Chapel, Rhiw Road, Colwyn Bay on Wednesday, 9th December at 7pm, with Cor Meibion Colwyn and local schools. Conductor: Philip Barnett. All proceeds to St.David’s Hospice and Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice.
