As part of their Welsh Baccalaureate, students from Ysgol y Creuddyn raised £547.11 for St. David’s. A big thank you to all concerned.
High winds and lashing rain meant that the switching on of the Tree of Lights ceremony, which took place on Sunday, 29th November was driven indoors. So a big thank you to The Aberhod for the warm drinks and hospitality. Thanks also to Beulah Brass, Cor Meibion Colwyn, and all who turned up and joined in with the singing of a few well loved Christmas Carols. And of course a huge vote of thanks to the Rhos on Sea Roary Club who have facilitated this campaign every year for the last ten years. This year makes it eleven! So far this year, the Tree of Lights has raised a phenomenal £7,500 for Hospice funds, and has hopefully brought some comfort to those who will be missing somebody they hold dear, at what can often be a very difficult time of year.
Although the lights are now on, and the ceremony has taken place, it is not too late to send in a dedication. We continue to receive dedications right up to Christmas.
Joining the hospice Share a Card campaign ensures that you send Christmas greetings to friends and colleagues, whilst at the same time raising much needed funds for your local Hospice.
