The fundraising took place as part of Enigma’s ‘10 years of trading’ celebrations.

Tree of Lights Although the ceremony has taken place, it is not too late to send in a dedication in memory of a loved one for the Tree of Lights. This will continue until Christmas Day.

Celebration of Christmas Carol Service takes place today (Thurs 17th), 7pm at the Holy Trinity Church, Llandudno. The annual service is organised by St. David’s Hospice and Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice to say thanks to their loyal supporters. The event is free of charge and an invite is extended to the communities of Anglesey, Gwynedd and Conwy. There will be a charity collection on the evening and refreshments available after the concert. The service will be led by Rev Jane Allen. Everyone welcome -Come and join in the festivities with seasonal readings and carol singing.

The closing date for the Hospice Lottery Christmas Superdraw is Saturday 19th December, so if you haven’t already done so, now is the time to post them or drop them off at the Hospice. Each ticket costs just £2, and gives you the chance of winning one of three cash prizes - £500, £1,500, and the top prize of £3,000 – and by playing you are supporting Your local Hospice! The winning ticket will be drawn at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, at 12.15pm on Christmas Eve, Thursday, 24th December 2009. If you have mislaid your tickets it not too late – telephone Lottery office, 0800 9706242 and they will send you replacement tickets by return of post. Alternatively they can take your credit/debit card details and enter your draw tickets on the spot.

Barbara Yates is the winner of the Doll’s House Raffle which took place on Friday. The house was kindly made and donated by Sid Walker of Rhos on Sea to the hospice in memory of his wife Brenda. The raffle raised over £1300.

Betws y Coed Support Group held their annual Christmas Fair at the Glan Aber Hotel last month raising £905.05. Many thanks to the group, the Glan Aber and everyone who supported the event.

St David’s Hospice are still collecting old mobile phone plus stamps, foreign coins and old currency. This continues to bring in a steady income. Donations can be dropped of at the various Hospice Shops across the area or brought in to the Hospice in Abbey Road.
