INTRODUCING DEWINA, THE ST DAVID’S HOSPICE BEAR 2010 ( with Tom Williams Lottery Co-dinator)This year is a very special year for lots of St David’s Hospice Lottery players. For the last eight years many players (who have paid £52 up front for a full year’s subscription) have been collecting a different DEWI, the Hospice Caring Bear each year. Dewi has come in many guises over the year, but this year we introduce his little sister DEWINA! Dewina has already caused a stir among our bear collectors, and we have big plans for her in 2010. DEWINA makes a beautiful gift or collectable, loveable toy for anyone. Why not treat yourself or someone dear to you? There are Dewis all over the world by now- Dewina, who is an adventurous, feisty young lady, is looking forward to joining them, very soon! It only costs £1 per week to play the Hospice Lottery game, and with £3000 in prizes awarded each and every week, it’s a fun way to give much needed help to St David’s Hospice. The St David’s Hospice 60’s, 70’s & Motown Evening at The Grand Hotel, Llandudno is on Saturday 6th Feb. Doors open 8pm – 2am. Tickets (£5) available in advance from St David’s Hospice on 01492 879058 (in office hours) Buy now to avoid disappointment.
The Conwy Support Group are holding a coffee morning on Saturday 30th January at the St Michael’s Hall, Rosemary Lane, Conwy. Doors open at 10am (until noon). Entrance is 50p includes Tea/Coffee). Usual stalls.
The Circus Starr Winter Magic Show is in Llandudno on Thursday 28th Jan (starts 7pm). The show is mix of illusion, comedy, and magic, stars among others, Andrew Van Buren, one of Britain’s most highly acclaimed masters of illusion. Fun for all the family, tickets are £10 available in advance from St David’s Hospice 01492 879058.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Derek Horton’s ‘ Swim with Sharks’ has been postponed until early Feb. Watch this space to see how he got on!

The St David’s Hospice Distribution Centre provides the vital service of receiving and sorting the vast majority of our donated items, before they are distributed out to the hospice shops. It is based at Builder Street in Llandudno and receives goods directly from individuals or from our own drivers who do house collections. If you have any donations the centre is now open on a Saturday 9am – 12noon, also weekdays Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm as per usual. Tel: 01492 878935.
