Thanks to the eagle eye of our Team Leader at the Distribution Centre, Alun Davies (Chief Exec.) and his wife, Gwyneth, went along to the ‘Flog It Valuation Day’ in Bangor on Sunday, 14th February with a few items. After queuing for many hours, one item was chosen (silver plated trophy cup) to go on auction…and we will keep you guessing on its valuation! The auction will be held at the Roger Jones Auction Rooms in Colwyn Bay on March 30th and aired on television after this.
Every year we try to think of ways to use Llandudno Pier to raise money for St David’s Hospice. After all, it is such and iconic landmark that it would be rude not to! So, on Sunday 25th April we bring you the Teddy Bear Toddle. This is a sponsored event for the whole family and Teddy too! The idea is to clock up 5 miles or 2.5miles by doing either 10 or 5 laps of Llandudno Pier. In order to take part you must pre-register, and all children and their bears must be accompanied by an adult. In addition to a £3 registration fee (to cover administration costs) we are asking all participants to raise additional sponsorship. There is no minimum amount, so no pressure! This event is ideal for pushchairs and wheelchairs alike, and you don’t have to be a child, or bring a child. Just be a child at heart!

As part of the Great St David’s Hospice Coffee Morning Challenge, and the bid to raise £10,000 before the end of May, there will be a Coffee Morning on Saturday, 13th March in the St. Mary’s Church Hall in Betws y Coed.
Time: 11am until 1.30pm. Entrance: £1.50 to include refreshments

On Monday 3rd May, a Golf Day will take place at the Rhos on Sea Golf Club. All profits to benefit St. David’s. Anyone wishing to play and requiring an entry form, should contact Joan Leach on 01492 540516.
In our never ending quest for new members, The Hospice Lottery is presently engaged in a major mail shot. We need a team of envelope folders and stuffers to prepare the mailshot. If you are interested, and can spare a few hours, please contact Tom, the Lottery Coordinator, on 0800 9706242.
