The Marquess of Anglesey Column Abseiling Challenge takes place on Sunday, 4th July. There are a few things you may like to know before you sign up: The column is over 30m high, and access is gained via an internal staircase with 115 steps. Even if you have never abseiled before, but are in reasonable health (remember the 115 steps!) you can take part. The abseil is run by a properly qualified and experienced team from the Beacon Climbing Centre and everything is explained step by step. All equipment is regularly inspected and provided. The adrenaline rush will put a spring in your step! Not only that but you will be helping to raise much needed funds for St David’s, and contributing to the standard of palliative care in North West Wales. So come on – Your Hospice needs you!
For details contact Beth on 01492 873665.

Registration forms for the 3rd Dawn Walk, which will take place in the very early hours of Sunday, 22nd August are coming in thick and fast, and judging by the amount of enquiries this could well be our most successful sponsored walk yet. This nine mile, woman only walk, has, to date, raised over £36,000 for Hospice funds. People tell us that this is their way of showing their support for the hospice movement and St David’s in particular!
Contact Beth on 01492 873665 for your registration form.

St David’s Hospice UK 3 Peaks Challenge, Friday 3rd September – Sunday, 5th September. For those already signed up or who may be interested in learning more, there will be a training and information day on Sunday, July 11th from 9am until 4pm. Meeting at Idwal Cottage (Ogwen Valley), the group will climb Y Garn and descend down the Devil’s Kitchen into Cwm Idwal. This will give everyone a chance to meet other participants and the walk leader, talk about fundraising and have any questions answered. For those signed up, the walk is free of charge but for others there will be a charge of £25. The day will finish with a cup of tea and cake at the Pinnacles Café.
For further details about the UK 3 Peaks Challenge please  contact Beth on 01492 873665.

The community of Henryd always pull out the stops on these occasions, so this will be well worth a visit.  Admission is 50p and proceeds go to the Hospice.
