Photo: Rachael Roberts (Chairperson of the Youth Committee at Ty Hapus Community Centre) presented Beth Bithell (Fundraising Co-ordinator SDH) with a cheque for £125. This money was raised at a Funday at Ty Hapus held in April. The Fun Day was a great success with lots of activities enjoyed by all who came. Many thanks to all on the Youth & Management Committee at Ty Hapus.
Only days now until Sunday, July 11th when the gates to the gardens at Maenan Hall open to the public for the benefit of St David’s. These extensive and very lovely gardens provide an excellent opportunity for a very enjoyable outing. Quite apart from the imaginative planting and the wonderful views, the tea room has a well-deserved reputation for the excellence of its cakes! These will be provided by a team of volunteers from the Red Cross, so a visit to these gardens on Sunday will benefit two very worth charities. The gates will be open from 10.30am – 5.30pm with last entries at 4.30pm. Tickets £3.50/adults; £2.50/children. Maenan Hall is situated on the A470, 2 miles north of Llanrwst.
Have you registered for the 3rdDawn Walk (women only)? Although the walk doesn’t take place until Sunday, 22nd August, we need all registration forms in by the 1st August. This is so that we can ensure we have enough cherry red tee shirts (this year’s colour!); medals; and more importantly those bacon rolls! St David’s Hospice UK 3 Peaks Challenge, Friday 3rd September – Sunday, 5th September. Rebecca James Hairdressing is holding a Fundraising Day on Saturday, 17th July. From 9am until 4pm they will be blow drying hair and filing and polishing nails in return for donations to St David’s.
Debenhams (Llandudno) are holding a Summer Beauty Event on Thursday, 29th July (5.15pm for 5.30 until 7.30pm), with cosmetic demonstrations from all the cosmetic houses, complimentary refreshments, tombolas, raffles, lucky dips…all raising money for St David’s.Tickets are £3. All the money from the sale of these books will go directly to hospice funds.
