Gwenda Dagnall would like to take this opportunity to thank all who attended and gave so generously at the event at Ty’n-y-groes on the 21st July, where all who attended were invited to make donations to St. David’s Hospice in tribute to her husband, Bill.
‘Bill spent his last days at St .David’s and would heartily approve of anything that helped the hospice to continue its good work.’
Dress up like a pirate and join the Great Orme Sponsored Walk which takes place this Sunday, the 23rd September. This walk starts and finishes at the Hospice in Abbey Road. It is approximately six miles long, accessible to pushchairs and takes anything between two and three hours, depending on how energetically one may wish to tackle it. There is plenty of parking space at the Hospice, and walkers will have access to clean loos and refreshments on completion of the walk. Participants must register between 1pm - 2pm. There is a registration fee of £5 for adults and £3 per child for those who do not wish to collect sponsorship. For an information pack and sponsorship forms please call 01492 879058. On Saturday 29th September there will be a concert at St. John’s Methodist Church, Llandudno, featuring the Llanddulas Male Voice Choir and The Dovedale Singers. The programme will include a wide selection from the classics as well as religious and show business music. Tickets are £5 and are available in advance from St David’s Hospice (01492 879058) or on the door. Doors open at 7.15. Concert to begin at 8pm.
Enjoy Pub Theatre at its finest! At 8pm on October 8th, 9th, 10th The Penrhyn Players are putting on a production of ‘Visiting Hours’ at Penrhyn Old Hall. This play, written by Richard Harris is sure to draw the crowds, and ticket sales are limited, so it would be advisable to book now. Tickets are £5. For all enquiries dial 01492 549579
The High Sheriffs of Clwyd and Gwynedd present a Charity Fundraising Concert featuring the renowned London Welsh Male Voice Choir on Saturday 20th October (19:30) with special guests - legendary soloist Aled Jones, renowned harpist Elinor Bennett, and Mezzo Soprano Eleri Owen. Many thanks to the Conwy Support Group who held a Coffee Morning at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, 8th September and rised £405.00 for Hospice funds.
