This Saturday (29th) The Llanddulas Male Voice Choir and the Dovedale singers from Stockport are holding a Grand Charity Concert at the St John’s Methodist Church, Llandudno. The Male Voice Choir has won a reputation for a variety of performances embracing a wide selection from the classics as well as religious and show business music. Much of the presentation is with a harp accompaniment. The Dovedale Singers are a four-part mixed choir and sing a very wide range of music, from madrigals to Andrew Lloyd Webber, religious music to folk songs. Doors open at 7.15 for a 8pm start. Beat those winter blues with a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre, Manchester. On Thursday 15th November the fundraising team are organising a coach trip to the centre. Pick up points: Llandudno. The Penrhyn Players Pub Theatre group are showing a production of ‘Visiting Hour’ by Richard Morris at the Penrhyn Old Hall on the 8th, 9th & 10th October (8pm). This is one of the only pub theatre groups on the area where you can enjoy a drink and the show at the same time. Tickets are £5 must be booked in advance ( seating limited) enquiries: 01492 549579.
On Sat 20th October (7.30pm) the High Sheriffs of Clwyd and Gwynedd present a Charity Fundraising Concert at Venue Cymru featuring the renowned London Welsh Male Voice Choir. The programme will feature various welsh Music and will also include special guests; Soloist Aled Jones, harpist Elinor Bennett and Mezzo Soprano Eleri Owen. St David’s Hospice continues to collect unwanted mobile phones, foreign currency (new or old) and postage stamps to help raise funds. Donations can be made at any St David’s Hospice Shop or at the hospice itself in abbey Rd Llandudno.
