Mayor of Llandudno, Cllr Alun Barrett officially opens the Christmas fair watched by Miss Alice (Kayleigh Hoe-Pike) and the Llandudno Carnival Queen Amelia Osborne.
Despite the wet and windy weather, over 600 hundred hospice supporters joined in the festivities at the St David’s Hospice Christmas Fair. With over 30 stalls the Grand total raised was £6800! Many thanks to all the volunteers on the day for manning the stalls so efficiently and helping to make the day such a success.
The St David’s Hospice Tree of lights stands proudly on the Cayley Promenade, Rhos on Sea for all to admire. The lights were officially switched on by the Mayor of Colwyn Bay last Sunday and will continue shine into the first week of January. Lights can be dedicated throughout December as a focus for thoughts and memories of loved ones. It is also an opportunity to remember a special event or to celebrate a special occasion such as a birth or wedding anniversary.
Debenhams, Llandudno are holding a Christmas Beauty event on Tuesday 4th December (6pm – 9pm) to help raise funds for St David’s Hospice. The evening includes Cosmetic Demonstrations, Free makeovers, exclusive goody bags, exclusive savings, free prize draws and complimentary refreshments. Coffee Morning will be taking place next Tuesday (4th) 10am – 12pm at 9 Balfour Rd, Craig y Don, to help raise sponsorship towards Chris Dawson’s Peru Trek for St David’s Hospice. Admission is £1 includes Tea/Coffee There will be a table top sale and a raffle: prizes to include Coalport China.
Circus Starr - Xmas Theatre Tour is coming to Llandudno on Sunday 20th January 2008 and raising funds for St David’s Hospice. Taking place at Ysgol John Bright School, (Show times 1:30pm & 4:00pm) it is packed with the laughter and magic of the circus. Starr winter magic is a great show you won’t want to miss, guaranteeing top quality entertainment for all the family. A festive display of lights can be seen at 15 Groes Rd, Colwyn Bay to raise funds for the hospice. Mr and Mrs Betteridge are lighting up their house for everyone to see in return for donations to the Tija Tanner Fund (eventually being donated to St David’s Hospice).
